A Changed Mindset is written with the objective to help the reader deepen and grow in their relationship with God, so that they can become all that they can be, all that was intended for them.
The author takes us through a number of concepts and processes that will help us to adjust our thinking, our mindset, to intentionally build our relationship with God, through a much deeper level of faith.
It is a big challenge to take on, to adapt our minds to embrace the mindset of Jesus. In adopting a changed mindset it will often feel like it works against our instincts or established ways of thinking.
The book is packed and intense, to be read slowly to truly take in the depth of what is being shared. It is full of profound thoughts and statements, many of which need to be read and reread before they will sink in to their full effect.
There is plenty of scriptural references to back up all the points being made, and is certainly thoroughly researched. The writing is detailed, precise and gives the impression that the author genuinely cares about informing and educating the reader.
Transformation of our minds to be more like Him is a Biblical instruction – Romans 12:2 says “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (NIV). And this book sets a path to support this clear imperative.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher, but was under no pressure to provide a favourable review.
